Complaints against 10 Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) board members will be filed by the Presidential Anti-Corruption Council (PACC) for the alleged irregularities within the insurance firm.
According to PACC Commissioner Greco Belgica, the 10 board members are included in the 36 officials tagged by the commission based on its initial findings with regard to the alleged irregularities in the corporation.
The senate is also investigating the alleged corruption in PhilHealth which includes the information technology project that was flagged by the Commission on Audit (COA).
Former Philhealth anti-fraud legal officer Thorsson Montes Keith stated in a Senate hearing that PhilHealth funds amounting to around P15 billion were pocketed by a syndicate within the firm in 2019.
