Baguio recently posted their record-high of 68 new cases of patients with coronavirus. Yet, the country’s summer capital and one of the country’s famous tourist spots is now open for tourists.
Similar to Boracay, Baguio will be accepting guests from near provinces, specifically in Ilocos.
Boracay already started hotel operations and other business establishments for their guests.
City tourism officer, Aloysius Mapalo said that the first batch of tourists have completed their travel pass requirements which includes medical certificates that indicates negative for the virus are ready to pass through the border by Friday.
Burnham park, Mines view park, Botanical Garden and Wright park are places included to be open for visit.
While in Boracay Acting Malay Mayor Frolibar Bautista said some tourists had to delay their trip because of theie real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) test required by the Government.
Airlines that are bound to Caticlan will be resuming daily or twice daily for Boracay tourists.
Some of the guidelines also include cities under General Community Quarantine (GCQ) are also allowed to enter Boracay.
To acquire a trip to Boracay, guests must be able to provide booking reservations, online health declaration cards and negative RT-PCR results that must be sent via email for approval.
