Nakatanggap ng doctorate degree sa Public Administration ang senatorial Chief of Staff, entrepreneur, at philantrophist na si Brian Poe-Llamanzares mula sa University of Perpetual Help kasabay sa kanilang graduation ceremony na ginanap sa Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), ngayong araw, Agosto 19.
“We must never forget the value of
education. As more young people serve
in government we must continue to learn
and grow to be able serve to the best of
our ability,” ani Poe-Llamanzares.
Simula pa noong 2013, kasama na sa pulitika ng kaniyang ina na si Senadora Grace Poe si Brian Poe Llamanzares mula sa pagiging official proxy, campaign manager, at ngayo’y Chief of Staff sa kaniyang opisina sa Senado.
Sa edad na 30, isa si Brian Poe-Llamanzares sa mga pinakabatang Chief of Staff sa Senado, “What I lack in years of experience I made up for in years of education. Having completed my doctorate degree, I feel I have more to offer the Filipino people as I continue to serve as Chief of Staff in the Senate.”
Ngayong 19th congress, nananatiling chairman ng Committee on Public affairs ang kaniyang ina na si Senadora Grace Poe, at tatayo rin bilang chairman ng Committee on Economic Affairs. Nagsimulang maglingkod sa opisina ng Senadora si Brian Poe-Llamanzares bilang Chief of Staff noong 2019, matapos manalo ang kaniyang ina at pumangalawa sa senatorial elections kung saan tumayo rin siya bilang campaign manager.
Natapos ni BPL ang kanyang doctorate degree sa loob lamang ng dalawang taon matapos isulat ang dissertation na pinamagatang, “The Implementation of the National Broadband Plan (NBP) of the
Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT): Prospects for Enhanced Policy,
Regulatory, and Infostructural Interventions.”
“I think many of us learned the value of
education during the pandemic. We
should always remember that education
is a gift. And that with that gift comes
great responsibility. If we have studied,
then it is our job to share What we’ve
learned with our fellow Filipinos,” ayon kay Poe-Llamanzares.
Nagtapos sa kursong Bachelor of Arts in Political Science sa Ateneo De Manila noong 2013 si Poe-Llamanzares. Nakuha naman niya ang kaniyang Masters in Climate & Society sa Columbia University, bago ang kaniyang PhD in Public Administration sa University of Perpetual Help.
