The entire island of Cebu has recorded
a total of 9,542 new COVID-19 cases with a total deaths of 944 from September 1 to 30, 2021.
Department of Health-7 daily bulletin on COVID-19 shows that Cebu Province has the highest number of new cases for the entire month at 4,515 followed by Cebu City at 2,634 cases, Lapu-Lapu City at 1,341 and Mandaue City at 1,051 cases.
In terms of deaths, Cebu Province has the highest number with 611, followed by Cebu City, 211; Lapu-Lapu City, 67; and Mandaue City, 55.
Data futher shows from the start of the pandemic last year up to September 30, 2021, of the 35,881 total COVID-19 cases in Cebu Province, 31,513 have recovered and 2,176 cases have remained active. Total deaths is at 2,192.
Cebu City has logged a total of 40,322 cases with 37,846 recoveries. It has a total deaths of 1,386. It has an active cases of 1,090.
Lapu-Lapu City has an active cases of 985. It has a total of 13,337 cases but 11,970 have already covered. Total deaths is 382.
While Mandaue City recorded 11,059 recoveries out of its 11,928 total cases with 369 deaths. It has now an active cases of 500. (By: April Therese Tan)
