Cebu Third District Representative Pablo John “PJ” Garcia, was the first to file his certificate of candidacy before the Commission on Elections-Cebu Provincial Office on October 1, 2021.
The House of Representatives Deputy House Speaker for Visayas is seeking reelection in the upcoming 2022 national and local polls.
Garcia was elected as congressman in the same district in 2007, 2010, and in 2019.
Garcia, a member of the National Unity Party and One Cebu Party is the brother of incumbent Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia.
He is also the son of former three-term (1995 to 2004) Cebu Governor Pablo Garcia.
