MAYNILA – Nitong Martes, Disyembre 6, ipinaalam ni Deputy Speaker Ralph Recto na namayapa na ang dating Vice Governor ng Batangas na si Ricky Recto.
Sa pahayag ng mambabatas, sinabi nito nang may lungkot na pumanaw na ang kanyang kapatid, ngunit hindi nabanggit sa pahayag kung ano ang dahilan ng pagkamatay nito.
“With sadness, we share the news that our brother Ricky has passed away,” ani Ralph sa kanyang pahayag.
“Words are hard to come by to express the sorrow of losing him, but we take comfort in our fond memories of him to overcome the pain we feel.”
Dagdag pa niya, “We are touched by your kind words and prayers, but in the meantime, we ask for the time and space to grieve in private.”
“But we do recognize that Ricky had served as a national athlete and as an elected official,” pagwawakas ng pahayag ng Deputy Speaker, “so, a simple memorial is being discussed, the details of which may be announced soon.”
Samantala, hindi nabanggit sa pahayag ng mambabatas ang mga detalye ukol sa pagkamatay ng dating bise gobernador ng nasabing probinsya.
