The Department of Education in Central Visayas has registered 2,039,000 enrollees, as of today, September 14, 2021 which is already higher as compared to 2,010,000 enrollees last school year.

The figure is expected to increase after DepEd secretary Leonor Briones has directed all regional director in a memorandum that amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, late enrollees shall be accepted and that late enrollment shall end on September 30, 2021.

The regular enrollment for both in the private and public elementary and high schools from Kindergarten to Grade 12 started on August 16 to September 13, 2021. 

No face to face classes are allowed in Region 7 just like in other regions in the country.

As stated in DepEd guidelines, for this school year, it has 209 school days and will end on June 24, 2022. (By: April Therese Tan)
