Legazpi City— For enforcing effective peace in order in the countryside, President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos commended the Philippine National Police regional command in Bicol as number one in 17 regions in the country.
The award was given to Police Brig. Gen. Mario A. Reyes, PNP regional director during the 121st Police Service Anniversary (PSA) on August 8, 2022 which was graced by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. with the theme; “Matibay na Ugnayan ng Pulisya at Mamamayan, Tungo sa Pagkakaisa Kapayapaan at Kaunlaran” held at the National Headquarters, Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The annual celebration is in commemoration of the joint founding anniversaries of the Insular Constabulary established in 1901 and the integrated National Police organized in 1975 both forerunner organizations of the PNP.
“This accomplishment is the fruit of our labors and solidarity in fulfilling our one great mission–to serve and protect. We also share this feat to the community, our stakeholders and partner agencies for their active participation in creating a safer and more peaceful place for our people”, Reyes said.
The accolade is a way to recognize the extraordinary operational and administrative accomplishments of the PRO 5 covering the period from April 2021 to March 2022 that helped the organization fulfill its tough and arduous duty of maintaining peace and security.
“To all KASUROG cops past and present, thank you for your untiring cooperation for making PRO5 the Best PRO for 2021-2022. Without all of you this could never be possible. Let’s continue the winning culture. Once again, let us congratulate ourselves. Thank you!”, Reyes said.(Raydes B. Barcia)
