Back in October, Mayors from National Capital Region (NCR) have requested to remain from General Community Quarantine to continue the decreasing number of cases of Covid-19 in the area.

Now days before December reaches, mayors remained with their request regarding the quarantine protocol that is according to national task force chief policy implementer, Carlito Galvez Jr.

But the decision whether to stay or change the quarantine protocol will be determined by President Rodrigo Duterte on Monday, November 30. According to Spox. Harry Roque, the President will address the nation on what will be the status of NCR and other areas with regards to quarantine protocol in their areas.

Further more, Galvez and Mayors from NCR decided that this is a good decision because during Christmas season there may be imminent surge of cases in Covid-19 because of gatherings and sales in malls. Also, Galvez does not want people to be complacent with health protocols to avoid contracting the virus.

As of this writing, the country has recorded 424,000 cases of Covid-19, with 387,000 recoveries and 8,242 deaths.
