COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — The 24th edition of the Manhunt International: Male Supermodel competition, originally scheduled to take place in Sri Lanka this May, has been postponed indefinitely due to the escalating conflict in the Middle East.
Organizers cited significant disruptions to international travel and the global airline industry following recent military actions involving the United States, Israel, and Iran. The decision was made following a formal request from the local organizing partners in Sri Lanka, prioritizing the safety and well-being of the contestants, national directors, and staff.
- Safety Priority: Organization President Rosko Dickinson stated that the move ensures world finalists can compete in a “stable and secure environment.”
- New Dates Pending: A new schedule will be announced soon as organizers coordinate with Sri Lankan partners to find a suitable timeframe.
- Philippines’ Representative: Flight attendant Raven Lansangan, who earned his spot through the 2025 Mister Pilipinas Worldwide competition, remains the country’s official contender for the 2026 title.
Manhunt International is the world’s longest-running global male competition, founded in 1993. The Philippines has a strong history in the pageant, including a victory by June Macasaet in 2012 and recent podium finishes by Joshua De Sequera (2022), Kenneth Stromsnes (2024), and Jordan San Juan (2025).
The postponement follows a wave of flight cancellations across the region as airlines navigate restricted airspaces and security risks.
