Legazpi City —A high ranking official of the Aviation Security Group is facing charges before the local police for mauling a police non-commissioned officer causing serious injury barely a year ago here.

Police Col. Dulnoan D. Dinamling Jr., former regional aviation commander in Bicol is facing serious physical injury and administrative case for attacking Police Master Sergeant Ricky Brabante resulting in his blindness.

Dinamling was invited by his classmate, Police Col. Clarence Gomeyac, to celebrate the latter’s birthday at Camp Simeon Ola on November 11, 2021.

Both Gomeyac and Dinamling are members of the PNP Academy Class 1998. Gomeyac is the commander of the Regional Mobile Forces Battalion 5 while Dinamling was the head of the Aviation Security Group in Region 5.

Dinamling Jr., who at that time was under the influence of liquor, assaulted Brabante, assigned at Regional Mobile Force Battalion who suffered a serious injury on the right eye who allegedly hit with a broken glass causing his blindness.

The incident involving Police Col. Dulnoan Dinamling, Jr. took place on November 12, 2021 but it was only reported last November 14, 2021.

Brabante underwent a major operation to save his eyes but to no avail.  The incident took place under the reign of former police regional director Brig. Gen. Jonnel Estomo.

Estomo immediately conducted a probe and recommended to the Aviation Security Group the removal of Dinamling Jr., from service.

On February 16, 2022 personnel of Pasay City Police Station arrested Dinamling Jr, for the case of serious physical injury docketed under criminal case number 35813-22.

Dinamling posted bail while his case is set to be heard in court. After nine months, the court will finally set the first hearing on August 9, 2022 here.
