Ogie Diaz, the well-known talent manager and entertainment vlogger, has publicly refuted claims that he was responsible for sparking rumors about the noontime show “Eat Bulaga” potentially going off-air due to financial troubles. Diaz addressed these allegations in his recent vlog, emphasizing the importance of viewers watching entire reports rather than relying on out-of-context thumbnails and titles.

During his April 21 vlog episode, Diaz clarified that the speculation regarding “Eat Bulaga’s” financial struggles originated from a source he had read aloud in his show, and not from his own assertions. “We read it, and when it mentioned ‘Eat Bulaga’ losing money, we didn’t believe it ourselves,” Diaz stated, highlighting his skepticism about the rumor.

Diaz also discussed how misinformation can spread when people do not fully engage with the content but rather react to snippets or headlines. He encouraged his audience to watch the full discussion on his vlog to understand the context and how they reported on the issue. This approach, he believes, helps maintain the credibility of his platform and avoids the spread of unfounded rumors.

The response from “Eat Bulaga” hosts Tito Sotto, Joey de Leon, and Vic Sotto was also mentioned, with all denying the closure rumors. Vic Sotto humorously noted that such false stories inadvertently provide more publicity for the show.

Diaz concluded by reiterating the challenges of content creation, acknowledging that it’s impossible to please everyone but stressing the need for accurate representation of information in media. His call for responsible viewership and reporting serves as a reminder of the critical role of both media creators and consumers in the landscape of news and entertainment.
