Nagdesisyon ang MP NATION, pinakamalaking volunteer group na sumusuporta sa kandidatura ni Sen. Manny Pacquiao, na suportahan si presidential aspirant Isko Moreno Domagoso sa darating na Halalan 2022.
Ayon kay MP Nation Lead Convenor Col. Dani Enriquez, ito ay isang ‘collegial decision’ ng kanilang mga executive committee members na suportahan si Mayor Isko Moreno na tatakbo sa ilalim ng partidong Aksyon Demokratiko sa halip na si Pacquiao.
Ani Enriquez, “MP Nation is now IM4P or Isko Moreno For President Movement.”
“We will always love and thank Senator Pacquiao for what he has done for the country, and would have wanted the two of them (Moreno and Pacquiao) to be in one ticket. But we must admit that the infighting of PDP-Laban, has caused much damage and backlog to Senator Manny’s campaign,” dagdag pa niya.
Ang MP Nation ay binubuo ng hukbo ng mga coordinators sa 78 na probinsya, 120 na lungsod, 1,109 na munisipalidad, at mahigit 35,000 na barangay sa bansa. Kabilang din ang iba’t ibang sectoral groups na nakapokus sa senior citizens, youth, ecclesiastical, civil servants, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) , transport, health front liners, LGBTQ+, market vendors, enlisted at former AFP/PNP personnel, persons with disabilities (PWDs), women’s, athletes, farmers at fisherfolks, labor at teachers.
Kabilang sa ilang prominenteng lider ng MP Nation ay sina: Atty. Brand Vuernesto; dating Pasay City Vice Mayor Dr. B. Tolentino; Senior Citizens Partylist Rep. G. Arquiza, Rep. Fausti Tambunting Galang, Rep. Miles Roces, Atty. W. Evasco, Dr. Heal Diner, dating Undersecretary N. Sison, at Dr. Manny Calayan.
Ayon pa kay Enriquez, hindi nila pinilit ang kanilang mga miyembro na suportahan ang kanilang desisyong lumipat, ngunit mahigit 70% ng kanilang mga volunteer groups ang nangakong susunod sa landas na tatahakin ng MP Nation.
“Mayor Isko has already shown us the blue print to bring the Philippines back on its feet with his fight against the pandemic as well as all the projects and programs he has undertaken in such a short span of time as mayor of Manila,” paliwanag ni Enriquez.
Pagdiin ni Enriquez, hindi nagkakalayo ang istorya ng buhay ni Pacquiao at Moreno na parehong nanggaling sa hirap bago pumasok sa serbisyo publiko, ”which our group believes is key in truly resolving the great socio-economic divide that has plagued this country for generations.”
“We still hope that they can be together but if not then we are sure that Mayor Isko will succeed in carrying the torch of real change for the poor that Sen Pacquiao would have carried for our country and our future generations,” ayon kay Enriquez.
“We are campaigning for a BETTER PHILIPPINES and it is our patriotic duty to push for the right leader who can effectively implement this,” dagdag pa niya.
Ayon sa spiritual adviser ng MP Nation na si Bishop Sherween Eslava ng Evangelical Churches, ang pagpili ng maling kandidato sa pagkapangulo ay napakalaki ng epekto hindi lang sa ekonomiya, kundi sa sa lahat ng aspeto.

“Mayor Isko will be providing us that same hope that Senator Pacquiao would have given us,” dagdag pa niya.
