Legazpi City —An Airbus H125 single engine light utility helicopter of the Philippine National Police crashed in Real Quezon on Monday, PNP Real Quezon province report said.

Police report said that the PNP air unit single engine light utility helicopter with tail number RP-9710 departed Manila International Airport early morning at 6:18 on Monday.

The PNP Airbus H125 helicopter that went missing at 6:18 was found in the vicinity of Purok Mayaog, Barangay Pandan in Real Quezon. Aviation authorities attempted to radio PNP AIRUNIT H125 RP-9710 but still no contact.

Personnel from the Real Municipal Police Station found three wounded persons from the chopper’s crash site. The chopper is manned by Police Lt. Col. Dexter P. Vitug and his co-pilot Police Lt. Col. Michael S. Melloria and Pat. Allen Noel U. Ona.

Sketchy report said that PNP helicopter Airbus H125 with registry number RP-9710 and its flight crew led by Pilot Lt. Col. Dexter Vitug, co-pilot Lt. Col. Michael Melloria, and Patrolman Allen Noel Ona were about to pick up PNP chief Dionardo Carlos from the Manila Domestic Airport in Pasay City to Balesin Airport in Real, Quezon at around 8:15 a.m. when the crash took place.

The three personnel were brought to CM Recto Hospital in Infanta town for immediate medical treatment.

Police Capt. Jernie Junne Merka, chief of Real PNP said a rescue operation was conducted.
