Ruby Rodriguez is beaming with pride as her son, AJ, graduates from high school. The former actress and host shared this milestone on Instagram, posting a series of photos and a heartfelt message.

In the Instagram carousel, Ruby shared photos of AJ marching across the stage and receiving his diploma. AJ, dressed in a cap and toga, proudly wore a sash bearing the Philippine flag.

“I’m lost for words!!! All I can say is IM SO PROUD OF YOU MY SON!!! I know you always achieve to do your best in everything!!! Good luck on your next journey,” Ruby captioned the post.

AJ’s Future Plans

AJ is set to attend Widney College in Los Angeles, California later this year. Ruby and her family moved to the U.S. in 2021 to support AJ’s medical treatment for a rare autoimmune disease. AJ has an intellectual disability and Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP), a condition that can cause chronic attacks and potential damage to internal organs, particularly the kidneys.

Ruby currently works at the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles and was recognized by the Gawad Amerika Foundation in 2021. She has reunited with fellow artists in the U.S., including Alden Richards, Michelle Dee, Ice Seguerra, Tom Rodriguez, and Jaya.
