Civil society organisations and protest groups in the Philippines have announced a series of weekly anti-corruption actions leading up to a large nationwide rally scheduled for November 30, 2025.

The umbrella group Kilusang Bayan Kontra Kurakot (KBKK) stated that starting October 31, demonstrations will be held every Friday. The first of these is themed “Ghostbuster Protest” and will be held at Mendiola Bridge.

Other scheduled dates include November 7, 14, 21 and 28, and these events will span protests at schools, lunch-hour workplace actions, and “Black Friday” gatherings across Metro Manila and beyond.

The groups cited frustration over what they describe as the government’s slow and selective enforcement of corruption cases tied to flood control and other infrastructure projects. They demand transparency, accountability, and the return of ill-gotten public funds.
