A recent survey by OCTA Research shows that 70 % of adult Filipinos oppose intervention by the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) in government—despite deep concerns over corruption in the country. Only 5 % support a military takeover, while 22 % are undecided.
The survey results come at a time when trust in public institutions is eroding: recent polls indicate that almost all Filipinos believe corruption is widespread across government.
