Tourists visiting Boracay have been advised to exercise caution as Typhoon Tino knocks into the region, triggering transportation disruptions and weather alerts.

The island’s tourist hub is already seeing impacts: boat and ferry services are suspended, and flights may be delayed or cancelled as the weather system brings heavy rain, strong winds and choppy seas.
Local authorities and the Department of Tourism (DOT) are requesting visitors to remain in their accommodations, avoid going to open beach areas, keep their phones charged for updates, and follow all instructions from hotel and local officials.

For travellers still planning to arrive or depart, the Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) and the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) have implemented a “no-sail” policy for affected ports, while the Department of Transportation (DOTr) is coordinating with airlines and ferry operators to assist stranded passengers.
In short: If you’re on Boracay and the storm worsens, stay put, monitor advisories and follow local guidance until the weather clears.
