After securing two gold medals at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo is planning to give back by hosting clinics for young gymnasts. The 24-year-old athlete aims to share the skills and lessons he has learned throughout his journey.

“I want to share the knowledge I’ve gained from my experiences,” Yulo said in an interview with Pia Arcangel on 24 Oras. “And of course, I want the kids to have fun, and I also want to enjoy sharing my journey with them.”

In addition to his plans for the clinics, Yulo expressed his desire to return to Japan to personally thank those who supported him during his training there. Yulo spent several years in Japan, where he studied and honed his gymnastics skills under the guidance of his former coach, Munehiro Kugimiya.

Yulo moved to Japan in 2016, where he completed a Japanese Language Course at the Teikyo Study Abroad Center and graduated from Teikyo University Junior College before continuing his education at Teikyo University. His dedication paid off as he became the greatest Filipino gymnast in history, winning double gold in his signature events, floor exercise and vault, at the Paris Olympics.
