MANILA – The JC Cares Foundation, led by actor and philanthropist John Estrada and his wife Priscilla Meirelles-Estrada, made Christmas extra special for 12 children from Alay Pag-asa Foundation by granting their personal wishes in a heartwarming event on December 19, 2025. The initiative, part of the foundation’s ongoing support for underprivileged and special needs kids, turned simple dreams—like gadgets, toys, bicycles, and educational tools—into reality, spreading smiles and hope during the holiday season.
The children, aged 5 to 16 and beneficiaries of Alay Pag-asa’s programs for abandoned, neglected, and differently-abled youth, submitted handwritten wish lists earlier in the month. JC Cares surprised them with personalized gifts, including laptops for online learning, musical instruments for creative expression, and sports equipment for active play. One standout wish: a wheelchair-accessible bike for a child with mobility challenges.
John Estrada shared: “Seeing their eyes light up reminds us why we do this—every child deserves to feel seen and valued, especially at Christmas.” Priscilla added that the foundation aims to “fulfill not just material wishes, but emotional ones—hope, belonging, and joy.”
Alay Pag-asa, a nonprofit providing shelter, education, and therapy since 2003, partnered with JC Cares for the event, which also included games, food, and a mini-concert. The collaboration highlights growing corporate and celebrity support for child welfare amid economic pressures.
For these 12 kids, this Christmas isn’t just gifts—it’s affirmation that wishes matter, and kindness makes them come true.
Event Highlights:
- Wishes Granted: 12 (gadgets, toys, bikes, educational tools).
- Beneficiaries: Children from Alay Pag-asa (special needs, abandoned).
