MANILA, Philippines — P-pop pioneers SB19 are set to conclude their ambitious trilogy with the “Wakas at Simula: The Trilogy Finale” concert at the SMDC Festival Grounds on Saturday, April 18, 2026. While the group has previously packed venues like the Mall of Asia Arena and the Philippine Arena, the quintet—Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin—declares this specific show as their most massive undertaking in terms of scale, production, and emotional weight.

The concert marks the culmination of a six-year journey that began with the EP “Pagsibol,” followed by “PAGTATAG!,” and finally the “Simula at Wakas / Wakas at Simula” era.

For the first time in their careers, SB19 is producing a major concert in an outdoor festival setting.

  • Scale-Wise: Leader Pablo noted that while their previous arena shows were large, this production is “much more massive” regarding budget and the sheer number of people involved.
  • The Risks: Member Ken acknowledged the risks of an outdoor venue but expressed total confidence. “It’s something that the fans haven’t experienced as well… we are 100% confident that we can pull this off smoothly,” he shared.
  • A Surprise Production: The group has intentionally kept details under wraps, though Stell hinted that even during rehearsals, the members themselves were shocked by the complexity of the setlist.

Reflecting on their evolution, Pablo emphasized that the group has moved beyond the typical constraints of the P-pop subgenre.

  • Pushing Limits: “We really pushed our limits on how we can deliver and put ourselves on the map,” Pablo said. “There is a sound that is really SB19. The genre is SB19.
  • Beyond the Box: Josh highlighted the need to stop boxing P-pop into just boy- and girl-group dance acts. He expressed a desire to lead the industry toward a collaborative future that includes soloists and diverse artists.
  • BE:FIRST Appearance: Japanese boy group BE:FIRST will make a special appearance to perform their collaborative track, “Toyfriend,” highlighting SB19’s growing global footprint.
  • Fan Experience (A’TIN): Josh warned fans to prepare for a high-energy night: “Basta sigurado sa kinabukasan, wala ka nang boses” (I’m sure that the next day, you’ll have no voice).

As the “Trilogy Finale,” the concert is more than just a performance; it is a realization of SB19 as their most authentic, fully realized selves. It represents the end of one era (Wakas) and the beginning of another (Simula), cementing their legacy as the definitive sound of modern Filipino pop.
