A 28-year-old man tragically lost his life while attempting to rescue his 15-year-old sister trapped inside Tubang Cave and Spring in Bohol.
According to a report by Futch Anthony Inso of Super Radyo Cebu, the sister had been bathing in the spring in Barangay Danicop, Antequera, Bohol, along with two companions. They decided to explore the cave, but rising water levels made it difficult for them to exit.
At around 8 p.m., the sister’s two companions managed to swim out of the cave. However, the sister was still inside, prompting her brother to enter the cave to save her.
The sister struggled to swim out and returned into the cave. Unfortunately, her brother drowned while attempting to rescue her.
Rescue teams were able to eventually save the younger sibling. — DVM, GMA Integrated News
