Four people were killed and several others injured in a tragic collision between a passenger bus and an SUV along the Majayjay-Lucban Road in Majayjay, Laguna, on Sunday afternoon.
The incident, reported at 3:20 p.m., occurred near the border of Barangays Bakia and Ilayang Banga, according to Reyjohn Libato of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (MDRRMO). The four fatalities were trapped inside the bus, while over 30 passengers were rushed to local hospitals, including Majayjay District Hospital and Laguna Medical Center.
The road remains blocked as rescue operations continue, involving the Philippine National Police and other emergency teams.
