The findings reflect cautious optimism among households amid ongoing economic challenges and recovery efforts.
The survey showed that expectations for a better life were driven by hopes of stable employment, higher incomes, and improved access to basic services. Respondents cited job security, affordable food, and better healthcare as key factors that could influence their outlook over the next few years.
Despite the positive sentiment, the survey also indicated that a significant portion of the population remains uncertain or pessimistic about the future. Economic pressures, rising prices, and concerns over daily expenses continue to weigh heavily on many Filipino families.
Analysts said the results suggest that while confidence has not fully rebounded, there is a growing belief that conditions could gradually improve if economic growth is sustained and government support programs are effectively implemented. Public trust in policy reforms and infrastructure development may also play a role in shaping expectations.
SWS noted that public outlook on quality of life often reflects broader perceptions of national direction and personal economic stability. The survey underscores the importance of inclusive growth and targeted social programs to translate optimism into tangible improvements for Filipino households in the coming years.
