A Decade of Miss International Excellence

Bea Rose Santiago, the esteemed Miss International 2013, recently took to Instagram to celebrate a significant milestone – the 10th anniversary of her crowning moment. She shared a series of heartwarming photos from her coronation, touching handwritten letters from supporters, memorable moments with fellow beauty queens including Pia Wurtzbach, and scenes from her welcome parade.

In her reflective and grateful post, Bea stated, “10 years. I am thankful for the people that touched my heart and gave their support.” She also shared an inspiring message, “Remember that all struggles are gifts from God and all things comes together for good. As long as we have each other, there will be Hope.”

Bea Rose was crowned Miss International 2013 in Tokyo, Japan, becoming the fifth Filipino to win the title, outshining 66 other contestants. Her journey post-victory was challenging, as she was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease in 2018 and underwent dialysis five times a week. In a turn of events filled with hope, she successfully received a kidney transplant in 2022, donated by her younger brother.
