A Poignant Christmas Reunion
The holiday season brought a touching moment for Kapuso actress Faith Da Silva and her brother Silas as they reunited with their father, former actor Dennis Da Silva, who is currently incarcerated. Faith shared this heartfelt reunion on Instagram, expressing gratitude for this “heart-warming gift this Christmas.”
In a video from Sparkle Artist Center, an emotional Faith is seen embracing her father tightly during their visit at the Muntinlupa City Jail. This was the first time Faith and her father could embrace each other since his imprisonment.
Previously, on “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” Faith had confessed to being ashamed of her father’s incarceration, a feeling rooted in not fully understanding the situation. However, she has since found forgiveness and acceptance of her non-traditional life.
Dennis was convicted of 15 counts of rape in 2020 and sentenced to life imprisonment, along with convictions for child abuse. Meanwhile, Faith is carving her own path in show business, with an upcoming role in the “Encantadia” reboot “Sang’gre,” alongside Bianca Umali, Angel Guardian, and Kelvin Miranda.
