Dismissed Bamban, Tarlac Mayor Alice Guo is expected to be transferred to the Pasig City Jail Female Dormitory on Monday, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP). Initially scheduled for Friday night, the transfer from Camp Crame’s PNP Custodial Center was delayed due to incomplete documentation, including her medical clearance.
PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Jean Fajardo confirmed the likely transfer date, pending the completion of necessary paperwork from the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG).
Guo, facing a non-bailable charge of qualified human trafficking, will be detained alongside 44 inmates in a facility designed to hold only nine, according to Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) spokesperson Jail Chief Inspector Jayrex Joseph Bustinera.
Despite posting P540,000 bail for separate graft charges in Valenzuela City, Guo remains in custody due to additional legal issues and contempt orders from both the Senate and House of Representatives.
Her arraignment, initially scheduled for Friday, was postponed as her legal team filed a motion to quash the information, with both sides given until Wednesday to submit their comments.
