The celebrity surfer underwent a transesophageal echocardiogram to address some health concerns, which according to Eigenmann, ended with reassuring outcomes.
On her Instagram Stories, Eigenmann updated her followers about Alipayo’s health status. “Well wishes for Papa as he goes under a transesophageal echocardiogram procedure today,” she wrote, expressing hope for a quick return to his full health and capabilities. Later, she joyfully reported that Alipayo was “good to go again,” indicating a positive prognosis that allows him to resume his athletic pursuits.
Alipayo himself took to Instagram to ask for prayers before the procedure, aiming to return to his “athletic mode” soon. After the test, he expressed his gratitude for the support he received from Eigenmann and his fans during this challenging time.
The couple, who reside in Siargao, were in Manila to attend the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP)’s Parangal ng Sining 2024 event. Eigenmann was there to accept an Honorary Distinction on behalf of her late mother, Jaclyn Jose. During the event, Eigenmann revealed to the press that their planned 2024 wedding had been postponed due to her mother’s recent passing.
