Angelica Panganiban announced the passing of her mother, Annabelle “Ebela” Panganiban, on Wednesday. Annabelle was 61 years old.
Angelica shared the news on Instagram, where she posted details about her mother’s funeral, which will take place at Aeternitas Chapels and Columbarium in Commonwealth, Quezon City, starting Thursday, August 22. The cause of death was not disclosed.
The post’s comments section quickly filled with condolences and support from Angelica’s celebrity friends, including Anne Curtis, Bea Alonzo, Carla Abellana, Camille Prats, Alessandra De Rossi, Lotlot De Leon, and Coney Reyes.
Angelica recently paid tribute to her mother in April after her second wedding to Gregg Homan in Siargao, expressing deep gratitude for the lessons and values Annabelle imparted to her.
“You are my treasure that I proudly share with anyone because all the lessons I’ve learned from you are what I will pass on to my family,” Angelica wrote. She reflected on her journey as a daughter, acknowledging her stubbornness but thanking her mother for allowing her to experience life and grow stronger.
Angelica also mentioned how her mother’s teachings continue to guide her as a wife to Gregg and as a mother to their daughter, Amila.
