Annabelle Rama recently took to Instagram to express her deep support and love for her daughter-in-law, Alexa, who is courageously fighting leukemia. In an emotional message, Annabelle apologized for her delayed response to inquiries about Alexa’s health, explaining that the news had profoundly affected her.
“It’s still hard to believe,” Annabelle confessed. Despite the shock, she voiced her firm belief in Alexa’s recovery, saying, “I know you will get better.” Annabelle openly shared her emotional struggle upon learning about Alexa’s illness, treating Alexa as her own flesh and blood.
In a loving tribute, Annabelle reassured Alexa, “I love you Alexa! Don’t worry about losing your hair. To me, you are the most beautiful bald person.” Alexa, the wife of Annabelle’s son Elvis, and a mother to two, has evidently formed a strong bond with her mother-in-law.
Alexa, too, shared her journey on Instagram this Wednesday, candidly discussing her emotional turmoil upon seeing her hair fall out. Describing her decision to adopt a new hairstyle as liberating, Alexa revealed, “I was getting mad and wanted to change my emotions quickly. We went for it and decided time for the new look. I feel much happier that we did it. Still a bit messy on top since it was a spur of the moment thing.” She expressed a newfound sense of freedom, having always wanted to try this hairstyle but never daring to before.
Earlier in January, Alexa bravely announced her leukemia diagnosis on social media. Ruffa Gutierrez, another member of the family, also sought support for Alexa, urging her followers to fervently pray for Alexa’s full recovery. Ruffa described Alexa as “a positive, courageous, beautiful, and strong human being” and expressed confidence in her ability to overcome this challenge. She emphasized the family’s unwavering support for Alexa throughout this journey.
