Seasoned broadcaster Arnold Clavio recently faced a serious health scare after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke due to slight bleeding in the left part of his brain. Clavio shared his experience in an Instagram video, revealing how a seemingly ordinary day turned into a life-changing event.

“June 11, 2024, 7:10 p.m., a life changer,” the note on his video read. Clavio recounted feeling intense numbness in his right arm and leg while driving home from Eastridge Golf Course. He lost sensation in his foot and struggled to control the gas and brake pedals.

Stopping at a gasoline station to check himself for signs of a stroke, Clavio noticed difficulty walking and had to support himself.

The Kapuso journalist then drove to the emergency room of Fatima University Medical Center. There, his blood pressure was alarmingly high at 220/120, and his blood sugar reached 270. After undergoing a series of tests, it was confirmed that he was suffering from a hemorrhagic stroke and he was transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital for further observation.

Reflecting on the ordeal, Clavio emphasized the importance of listening to one’s body, as feeling good does not necessarily mean being in good health. He expressed gratitude for surviving the stroke, calling it a miracle from the Lord. “ARAL: Feeling okay does not mean you’re okay. Feeling good does not mean we’re good. Listen to your body. Traydor ang hypertension! Always check your BP. Thank you, Lord. I personally experienced your miracle,” Clavio said.

In the comments section of his post, fellow celebrities, including Gardo Versoza, Richard Yap, and Allan K, extended their well wishes to Clavio.
