CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga – The Police Regional Office 3 (PRO-3) has designated 196 community firecracker selling zones and 153 fireworks display zones across Central Luzon to ensure safer New Year 2026 festivities. This initiative, announced on December 27, 2025, supports the Ligtas Paskuhan Campaign aimed at minimizing firecracker-related injuries while allowing regulated celebrations.
PRO-3 Director Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr. urged the public to purchase only from authorized vendors and use fireworks solely in designated display areas. “These zones provide safe venues for merriment—let’s avoid illegal items and welcome the New Year responsibly,” he said.
