Barbie Forteza is beaming with pride for her friend and fellow Kapuso star Rita Daniela, who made a stunning return to theater in the musical Liwanag sa Dilim.
The Kapuso Primetime Princess took to Instagram to post a sweet selfie with Rita and a group photo with the cast, including Sparkle star Anthony Rosaldo. She had nothing but praise for Rita’s performance.
“Congratulations to everyone involved, especially to you, mare,” Barbie wrote. “Thank you for inviting me. You act and sing so beautifully — so polished and full of heart.”
This marks Rita Daniela’s first return to the theater stage since her 2018 appearance in Eto Na! Musikal nAPO! Her comeback has been highly anticipated, and she has described her role in Liwanag sa Dilim as very challenging but fulfilling.
The musical pays tribute to OPM legend Rico Blanco and is currently running at RCBC Plaza, with an extended schedule through May 4.
