The Bureau of Corrections (BuCor) has launched “Electronic Undas,” allowing inmates at New Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City to pay respects to their departed loved ones virtually. Using laptops and headphones, inmates can observe Undas (All Saints’ and All Souls’ Days) from November 1 to 2.
BuCor’s initiative aims to provide inmates, referred to as Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDL), with a means to honor the memories of their loved ones, even from confinement. The program enables them to participate in virtual remembrance activities, fostering a sense of compassion and connection as part of their rehabilitation journey.
