Cebu City acting Mayor Michael Rama said that in consultation with several sectors, it is best for Cebu City to continue to be under the state of General Community Quarantine (GCQ) for a month while the city government continue to ramp up its vaccination efforts.
The acting mayor in his public statement today, September 27, 2021, continue to urged his constituents to have themselves vaccinated as more COVID-19 vaccines have arrived.
“Again, choose no brand unless you pay for it elsewhere. Vaccines are free,” said the acting mayor, who already made an annoucement that he is seeking the mayoralty position again.
Rama further asked the Cebuanos to continue to help each other to become socially conscious citizens, one that is fighting out the pandemic as the city recognized everyone’s contribution among the citizens, enforcers and force multipliers in bringing down the COVID-19 cases in the city.
