On the vibrant streets of Baguio City, the Panagbenga Festival’s Grand Street Dance Competition unfolded with a spectacle of colors and energy on February 24, 2024. The competition, a central highlight of the annual flower festival, saw Lucban Elementary School and Tribu Rizal from Rizal, Kalinga, emerge as champions in their respective categories.
The event, which drew both local and international spectators, featured thirteen groups showcasing their unique dances along Session Road and Harrison Road. These performances were not just about competition; they were a lively expression of cultural heritage and community spirit.
In the elementary category, Lucban Elementary School claimed the top spot with their dynamic presentation, followed by Tuba Central School and Manuel Roxas Elementary School in second and third places, respectively. The open category was dominated by Tribu Rizal, with Narvacan Naisangsangayan from Narvacan, Ilocos Sur, securing the second place and Baguio City National High School finishing third.
