Bulls sign Yuki Kawamura to two-way contract

CHICAGO, United States — The Chicago Bulls have signed Japanese point guard Yuki Kawamura to a two‑way NBA contract, bringing the 24‑year‑old guard back into the league and offering him another chance to compete at the highest level.

Kawamura, a 24‑year‑old guard from Yanai, Japan, spent the 2024–25 season with the Memphis Grizzlies, appearing in 22 games as a reserve before joining the Bulls’ Summer League and earning a roster spot.

Under the two‑way deal, Kawamura will split time between the Chicago Bulls NBA roster and their Windy City Bulls affiliate in the NBA G League, giving him opportunities to showcase his playmaking and scoring skills while gaining valuable experience. The Bulls made room for Kawamura on the roster by waiving another player, a common move associated with two‑way signings.

The Japanese guard has international experience as well, having represented Japan at the Paris Olympics, where he posted strong all‑around numbers, and he is known for his court vision and offensive versatility developed during his five seasons in Japan’s professional B.League.
