Coco Martin, an ABS-CBN actor, joined thousands of devotees at the Feast of the Black Nazarene in Quiapo yesterday.

This was the caption of several photos of Martin and the staff of his upcoming series “FPJ’s Batang Quiapo” praying and participating in activities around the Minor Basilica of the Black Nazarene or Quiapo Church posted on Dreamscape’s Twitter account.

They were dressed in maroon tops, a color identified with followers of the religious icon.

During the actual celebration, the staff also used the chance to film scenes for the series.

The Kapamilya actor stated in 2016 that he was hesitant to participate in the Quiapo festival due to the large number of people and the deaths that occurred there.

It was noted that long before he became famous, Martin was already a Black Nazarene devotee.
