A Pasay court has denied the motion to quash filed by the two accused in the rape through sexual assault case involving actor Sandro Muhlach, allowing the trial to proceed.
With this ruling, the arraignment and pre-trial pushed through, where Jojo Nones and Richard Cruz both pleaded not guilty to the charges. Their lawyer, Atty. Maggie Abraham-Garduque, stated that while her clients are struggling with the case, they remain determined to prove their innocence.
Muhlach expressed relief over the court’s decision, accusing the defense of using delaying tactics. He vowed to continue fighting the case despite attempts to discredit him.
The legal battle now moves forward as the trial officially begins.
