Cristy Fermin, a prominent showbiz columnist, has responded to a sarcastic comment made by Vice Ganda, a well-known comedian and TV host, during an episode of the variety show “It’s Showtime.” On November 23, Vice Ganda playfully addressed a contestant named Cristy with a remark that sparked speculation among viewers. He asked, “Kumusta ka, Cristy? Anong pinagkakaabalahan mo, Cristy, bukod sa paggawa ng mga kasinungalingan?” (“How are you, Cristy? What are you busy with, Cristy, aside from making lies?”). This led to mixed reactions online, with some suspecting the jest was aimed at Cristy Fermin.
Fermin addressed the issue on her show “Cristy Ferminute,” expressing her belief that Vice Ganda’s comment was indirectly targeting her. She criticized the approach of indirect criticism and emphasized the importance of direct communication. Fermin stated, “If you’re going to fight, it should be fair. If you’re angry, you should point out who you are referring to. Not just say anything. People don’t enjoy that.” She also reflected on her straightforward manner of speaking to Vice Ganda, questioning why he couldn’t address her directly.
Vice Ganda, known for his comedic flair and successful films, is also a co-host on “It’s Showtime,” a popular noontime show on ABS-CBN. In addition to his entertainment career, he owns a beauty product line, Vice Cosmetics.
As of now, Vice Ganda has not publicly responded to Cristy Fermin’s comments, leaving the matter unresolved in the public eye
