Stephen Curry and Jayson Tatum powered Team Shaq to a 41-25 victory over Team Chuck in the 2025 NBA All-Star Game tournament on Sunday night at Chase Center, San Francisco.

Curry Shines as MVP

Curry, playing in front of his home crowd, delivered 12 points, drilling four three-pointers, including two clutch shots that put Team Shaq on the brink of victory. He was named MVP after scoring a total of 20 points across two games.

Tatum led the team with 15 points, making six of seven shots, including the decisive dunk that sealed the win.

Dominant Performance

  • Team Shaq shot 57.1% from the field, including 9-of-17 from beyond the arc.
  • Team Chuck struggled, hitting just 35.5% of their shots and 2-of-16 from three-point range.
  • Victor Wembanyama paced Team Chuck with 11 points.

Team Shaq jumped to an 11-0 lead, with Curry hitting the first three-pointer and Tatum adding a dunk and two treys. Despite a brief comeback attempt by Team Chuck, James Harden and Kyrie Irving drained key three-pointers to extend the lead.

New All-Star Format Debut

This year’s All-Star Game introduced a four-team tournament format:

  • Team Shaq advanced to the finals after a 42-35 win over Team Candace (coached by Candace Parker).
  • Team Chuck reached the final by beating Team Kenny (coached by Kenny Smith) 41-32.

LeBron James Sits Out

LeBron James (ankle injury) was absent from the game, but his teammates secured the win without him.

With this dominant performance, Curry, Tatum, and Team Shaq etched their names in the NBA All-Star history books under the new format.
