In the heat of Tanay, Rizal, tourists flock to its renowned waterfalls, Daranak and Batlag Falls, known for their scenic beauty and refreshing waters. According to Tanay’s tourism supervisor, Don Mart Gerones, the cool, blue-green waters of Daranak Falls originate from the Masungi karst rock formation, enriched with natural lime giving it a bluish hue.

Daranak Falls, standing at a depth of 25 feet at its deepest, is a haven for diving enthusiasts, while non-swimmers can rent life vests to enjoy the water safely. With an affordable entrance fee—P75 for adults, P60 for seniors, and P50 for children—Daranak offers a budget-friendly escape.

A short walk from Daranak leads to Batlag Falls, another gem with crystal clear blue waters and striking bell-shaped rock formations. Depths range from four to 14 feet, making it accessible for various activities, with a day tour price of P100 per person.

The journey continues to the Blue Lagoon, a few minutes’ walk from Batlag Falls, where visitors can traverse streams, climb rocks, and immerse in the beauty of nature. This secluded spot, surrounded by lush trees, offers a tranquil and rejuvenating experience, highlighted by the cool and refreshing waters.

These natural attractions in Tanay, Rizal, present a perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, making them popular destinations during warm weather.
