Two separate armed robbery incidents targeting a delivery rider and a motorcycle taxi rider occurred in Barangay Santo Domingo, Quezon City, raising security concerns in the area.
According to a report by Bea Pinlac on “24 Oras Weekend”, the first incident happened early Saturday morning when a delivery rider was on his way home. Two men on a motorcycle blocked his path, pointed a gun at him, and stole his motorcycle. CCTV footage showed the suspects fleeing toward Del Monte Avenue, possibly accompanied by another pair of riders.
In the second incident, a motorcycle taxi rider was lured into a trap early Friday morning. The suspect, posing as a passenger, directed the rider through multiple streets before leading him to a dark, CCTV-free area on G. Araneta Avenue. The suspect then threatened the rider with a sharp object and stole the motorcycle.
Investigation Underway
Authorities are investigating whether the two robberies are connected. Meanwhile, barangay officials and police are being contacted for further statements.
