Rising R&B artist Denise Julia is addressing recent controversies in the most creative way—through music. The singer teased a new diss track titled “#BADDIE” on social media, following her public dispute with celebrity photographer BJ Pascual and influencer Killa Kush.
In a 24-second teaser shared on X, Denise sings about betrayal and clout-chasing:
“Draggin’ my name for likes and views… Said you were a friend, now you turnin’ heel? The damage is done, turned my name into profit.”
She also warned detractors with the line:
“Go talk to my lawyers if you talkin’ sh-t.”
The track’s release date has yet to be announced.
The Controversy
The feud began in December when BJ Pascual mentioned in Killa Kush’s podcast that Denise was the “most stressful personality” he had worked with. He claimed her team canceled a photoshoot at the last minute due to budget disagreements.
Denise responded on Instagram Stories, sharing screenshots and explanations that refuted Pascual’s claims. She stated that both teams failed to agree on a budget and clarified that Pascual’s team ultimately canceled the shoot due to “differences in production processes.”
In contrast, BJ released his own screenshots, alleging his team adjusted the budget down to ₱371,000, which he said was below industry standards, a point Denise omitted in her explanation.
Killa Kush also alleged that Denise canceled her first podcast appearance and arrived four hours late for the rescheduled date. Denise’s creative director, Carissa King, defended the delays, citing health emergencies and heavy traffic.
Legal Action
Denise previously announced that she is in touch with her legal team to file a defamation lawsuit against Pascual and Kush, accusing them of tarnishing her reputation for clout.
What’s Next?
