Visitors heading to Dingalan, Aurora will now need to secure tourist insurance before exploring the town, as mandated by the local government.
According to an advisory from the Dingalan Tourism Office, Municipal Ordinance No. 266, Series of 2024 applies to both tourists and accommodation establishments. The insurance is intended to cover tourists in case of disability or death while within the town’s jurisdiction.
Tourists can acquire insurance through any provider registered or accredited by the local government. Proof of insurance, such as a policy or receipt, must be presented before they are allowed to tour the area.
Accommodation establishments are also required to present a memorandum of agreement with an insurance provider. Failure to comply with the ordinance may result in fines or the suspension or cancellation of their operating permits.
Tourists who do not comply with the insurance requirement will not be permitted to explore Dingalan.
