A doctor was discovered dead inside a parked vehicle in Naga City on Sunday afternoon, February 16, 2025. Authorities identified the victim as Dr. Rajean Monette Romualdez, an obstetrician-gynecologist from Bicol Medical Center.
The car was located in Monterey Village, Barangay Concepcion Pequeña, with the victim found in the passenger seat, suffering from a fatal gunshot wound to the head.
Naga City Mayor Nelson Legacion confirmed the incident, stating that the police and emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene. The Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO) have been called in to assist with the investigation.
Suspect Last Seen with Victim
Initial reports indicate that Dr. Romualdez was last seen with a suspect before the shooting occurred. Authorities are now working to piece together the details of the crime.
₱200,000 Reward for Information
In a bid to fast-track the investigation, the Naga City government has announced a ₱200,000 reward for anyone who can provide information leading to the identification, arrest, prosecution, and conviction of those responsible.
“We urge anyone with relevant information to come forward. Rest assured that any details shared will be kept confidential,” Mayor Legacion stated.
Authorities continue their full-scale investigation to bring justice to the victim and her family.
