The Department of Justice (DOJ) is currently finalizing the necessary paperwork to request Interpol’s assistance in locating and apprehending former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque, who is now seeking asylum in the Netherlands.

Justice Department spokesperson Mico Clavano confirmed on Tuesday that the agency is working on a red notice request to be issued through Interpol, following the arrest warrant from the Pampanga Regional Trial Court for Roque and 49 others.

The charges stem from an alleged human trafficking operation linked to the controversial scam hub, Lucky South 99. While pursuing the red notice, Clavano said the DOJ is also weighing alternative legal routes to bring those charged to justice.

“Our goal is to ensure justice for the victims of qualified trafficking,” Clavano stated, emphasizing the government’s commitment to holding all involved accountable.

The arrest warrant includes other key suspects, among them Cassandra Ong, under the same serious allegations.
