In a significant move to address the swirling controversies around him, actor Dominic Roque recently made a public statement through his legal representatives, Fernandez & Singson Law Offices, debunking rumors and clarifying misconceptions that have surfaced. The statement was a direct response to allegations made by entertainment vlogger Cristy Fermin, which Roque and his legal team have denounced as “malicious and defamatory.”

Roque clarified that the condo unit he has been residing in is rented and owned by Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos, refuting claims that the mayor is his ‘benefactor’. The actor expressed his regret and apologies to Mayor Jalosjos and his family for the unwarranted public scrutiny and rumors, emphasizing that there is no truth to Fermin’s insinuations.

Additionally, the statement addressed rumors linking Roque to Congressman Bong Suntay, dismissing the notion of Suntay being a ‘suspected benefactor’ and criticizing Fermin’s comments as casting unfounded aspersions on Suntay’s character.

Roque also clarified that he does not own any Clean Fuel gas station, countering another of Fermin’s claims. This clarification comes amidst a backdrop of misinformation regarding Roque’s business interests and personal life.

The actor and his partner, Bea Alonzo, have been in the spotlight following the announcement of their engagement’s termination, a decision they reached together and publicly announced, quelling speculation and rumors about their relationship. The statement also addressed and dismissed rumors about a prenuptial agreement dispute between Roque and Alonzo, labeling such claims as baseless and speculative.

This official statement aims to set the record straight on various issues that have been falsely attributed to Roque, providing clarity and refuting unfounded allegations that have circulated in the media.
