Department of Transportation (DOTr) Secretary Art Tugade led the inauguration of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport’s new Corporate Building today, 28 October 2021.
The six-story corporate office building, which is equipped with modern equipment and facilities, will house MCIAA employees in a single edifice.
DOTr said it aims to provide a much-improved service, accessibility and convenience to the agency’s clients.
The said building is set to have elevated passageways, which are connected to the terminal buildings, for the convenience, safety and protection of workers and staff.
Completed last 21 March 2021, the six-story Corporate Building will house employees of the Mactan-Cebu International Airport Authority (MCIAA) in a single building with better equipment and facilities.
The new facility aims to improve services and accessibility to clients. Construction works began last 28 March 2021.
Coinciding with Tugade’s inauguration of the said building and Command Center is the inspection of the airport’s secondary runway, which is expected to be completed in May 2022.
It can be recalled that on May 6, 2021, Tugade inaugurated the MCIA’s new taxiway and apron, which increased the airport’s aircraft parking capacity from 40 to 50 slots and maximized aircraft movement capacity.
