The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), along with the Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI), has submitted evidence to the Office of the Ombudsman to investigate former House Speaker Martin Romualdez and ex-Representative Zaldy Co over alleged anomalies in flood control projects.
The ICI’s interim report recommends possible charges of graft, falsification, and malversation against Co and several DPWH officials after finding discrepancies in documentation and substandard construction materials in the questioned projects.
Romualdez has already appeared before the ICI to provide documents and testimony, stating he is cooperating fully and insists he has nothing to hide.
